Telemarketing S.A. case study
The requirement
Telemarketing S.A. wanted to produce a site that would allow them to use the web as an alternative selling channel. The requirement was to connect their backoffice ERP system to Netvolution™ so that there would be a single point of products and prices editing and on the other hand a single point of order management in the backend system while the whole process was to be carried out by non technical staff.
The solution
ATCOM designed and developed the project based on the Netvolution™ platform. Netvolution™ core content management functionalities together with the e-commerce facilities, that the Netvolution™ e-commerce module provided allowed the development of a fully featured e-shop.
- Netvolution's™ personalization capabilities assisted in the speedy implementation of a "member’s only" area which allowed customers to see their order history, to update their profile and finally to adjust various e-shop parameters and look to match their preferences.
- Netvolution's™ data access layer allowed the e-commerce module to securely connect to the customer's backend ERP system. This connection handled all communication requirements between the ERP software and Netvolution™ automatically synchronizing product descriptions, product prices and data, customer details and placed orders.
- Netvolution's™ Stats Analyzer allowed Telemarketing S.A. to have a clear view of the effectiveness of site operations providing real-time statistical information on visits, hits, page views etc. and other selective information on sales and customers behaviour that helped them adjust their online strategy and determine products or product categories to promote to achieve better sale volumes.
- Netvolution's™ powerful Content Management capabilities allowed the creation of a site that maximizes Telemarketing's brand awareness and materializes an online store with global reach available throughout the day.
